Echo on speaker calls iPhone 15

Hi,

Whenever I receive a phone call, and I put the phone on speaker, the caller hears an echo of his onw voice.

This is very annoying, especially since I have this issue with clients as well. This is on a brand new iPhone 15.

I went to the Genius Bar multiple times. It's a 'computer sais no' story. The testing software indicates that the phone works correctly (no faults), eventhough even they can hear the echo themselves when they call my phone.

I have the iPhone now approx one month, so a swap is not possible anymore.

Since I read dozens of similar issues on this forum with no solution, is there anyone that did fix this issue or know what needs to be replaced? Is it simcard related, eventhough this SIM was used in an iPhone 12 without these problems?

I dont use a case or screenprotector. There is no dust in the microphones. I did try the reset network settings and the complete reset (without iCloud backup).

Thanks!'

There might be a little breakthrough. After a second trip to the genius bar, and after another round of tests on my phone, a problem was found witth the proximity sensor. In the first test round, this malfuncioning sensor was not detected.

Due to the error in the sensor, the device was not able to detect correctly if I had placed the phone to my ear. The result is that the wrong microphones were used / acticated (there are more than one microphones in one iphone), resulting in echo for the dailer, when calling on speaker.

For now, the issue seems fixed. I will test for a few more days and let you guys know if I experience the echo again.

ps. The solution had nothing to do with settings like 'voice isolation' of changes from my SIM card provider. It was a hardware malfuntion.
