Getting Continuous pop ups every few minutes on iPad to download scans

I keep getting annoying pop ups every few minutes on my iPad from Safari starting virus scans. How do I stop them? I have virus protection so don’t know why this keeps happening. I know they are SCAMS & have different addresses.
