Accidentally Deleted Notes App

Hi Apple Community!

Slightly aside from what I’m asking on here but my Notes app takes up a lot of storage space, space that I don’t have to spare right now, and I can’t understand why considering there are not that many notes.

Now onto the actual issue. I accidentally deleted my Notes app off my phone a couple weeks ago. I google searched how to get it back and nothing it said work, including to sync the notes from my iPad, as my iPad notes weren’t the same as from my phone.

If someone could please help me would be amazing! I’m quite upset because I had a lot of quite meaningful and important notes.

Hello buzzybeaa08,

First, you’ll need to reinstall Notes from the App Store.

Now, do you sync your notes with iCloud? Go to iCloud.com using a browser, open Notes and see if you see your iPhone notes. If so, on your iPhone, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud and turn on Notes. Wait a few minutes for the notes to download to your iPhone.

If your iPhone notes were not synchronized on iCloud, the only solution will be to restore an iPhone backup made before the Notes app was deleted. Note that you will lose the data created on your iPhone since the backup date (except data synchronized on cloud services).
