How do I cancel a recurring iTunes Store charge without a subscription?

I have a recurring charge from iTunes Store and I have not subscribed to it, and I want to cancel it because it has been trying to make the transaction.

If its recurring, then by definition it's a subscription.

If you don't have an associated subscription for it, then there's nothing to cancel hence it cannot be recurring.

Where do you see this charge exactly trying to make the transaction?

If this is an email or SMS message then it's possibly a scam.

If you share your payment method with someone or are the Family organizer in a Family sharing group, then check the accounts of the other members of the family group or whoever you share the payment method with.
