Why is my MacBook battery draining without usage?

Hi everyone.

Could anyone please offer any explanations as to why my MacBook battery would drain when I fully charged it the previous night and I haven't used it all day?

The screenshot appears to show that it was charging today between about 10am-12pm and from 4pm to just after 6pm, but it was unplugged all day. I first plugged it in at 6.17pm and found the battery was completely empty. It appears to show the battery went from fully charged to completely empty in the space of a few minutes from around 6pm-6.10pm or so. The battery health is 'normal', so how can that be?

The second screenshot also shows screen time of over 3 hours today (Monday, Feb 24), but I haven't used the MacBook all day until now!

The rule of thumb—if you are near the mains leave it plugged in, if you need the portability then run on the battery only—this is how you help optimize your battery charging and extend the working life of your battery by reducing the cycle count.
