Mail on Sequoia keeps quitting

I recently had to buy a new MacBook Pro when my old one died. I now have a MacBook Pro Nov. 2024 14-inch with an M4 chip, running Sequoia . Anyhow, brought the computer home, set it up, set up my mail, - which ran fine for about 3 hours. Then it quit. Anytime I try to reopen it, it quits again. HELP!! I hate using the web access for my mail. TIA!!
