Others Folder is 73GB. Is this normal

I am well aware that this folder holds temp files, Caches, etc. but I feel as if the 73GB size is a bit much.

Is this normal? Appreciate any feedback folks thank you.

Other Storage taking up 280 GB out of 500 GB I've looked up how to delete files off of "Other" but even taking all of my largest files, they do not account for 280 gigabytes of storage. Do you have any idea what could be causing this? This seems like an insane amount of storage for Other to be taking up.

Storage on Mac Mini - Meaning of "Other" Under "About This Mac", the Storage tab (Mac mini SSD) tells me "Other" is taking up 569 Gigs of space. What is "Other"? I understand that it is "Anything" that is NOT "iOS Files", "Photos", "Music", "Documents", "Apps", or "Other Users and Others". But with all of these categories identified, what "Other" type of files are there? Thank you, in advance, for your assistance.

If you mean the system data storage then yes this is normal. Many are even higher.

Hello garyp2412,

In Finder, go to Macintosh HD/Users/Shared and see if there are any shared folders or files there.
