When I call someone they can hear me but I can’t hear them. Unless I turn in the speaker. How do I fix this.
I did all the internet suggestions upgrading software, checking volume, etc

have you cleaned the receiver and speaker?
iPhone 12 and 12 pro models have Audio issue's in receiver ,so Apple has provided a service program for this models.
you can get replacement of the display if the device is eligible for repair under terms and conditions.
