How do I reload 2017 iMac with no software on it

I have a 2017 iMac and cannot access anything on it. folder with ? appears at start up

The “?” likely means the internal boot drive has failed, not that there is no software on it. Power down the iMac.

Follow the instructions in the link above. Enter recovery mode, connect to WiFi...


You’ll find out soon enough of the internal drive is bad When recovery mode tries to install macOS on it.
