Why does my son's screen time show activity at night, but app usage only shows a few hours?

my son’s screen timeon dbut when i look at app usage it only shows a few hrs. the screetime shows his active at night but doesnt show any apps as active he also doesnt have his phone

Why is my daughter's iPad Screen Time showing inaccurate app usage overnight? We use screen time to limit my daughters ipad usage, it automatically comes on at 6:15 am. But its now showing her 3 hours of app usage is already up when her iPad just unlocked. I check her screen time and it shows all of her apps have been used all night (when her iPad is shut down for the night) and its not even that the app was left open and running in the background. On my iPad I can see the accurate usage of when she woke up and that she's only used it for a short amount of time. Why is her iPad saying every single app is being used all night? Her iPad is locked down from 8:45-6:15, so no apps can be used to begin with. I've double checked and background app refresh is turned off, so it's also not that. Screen time reporting inaccurate How is it possible my kids screentime when checked in real time will display one set of apps used and amounts of time spent on each app but when checked later it says another different set? Also it will not even display certain apps I know he uses a lot at all for the week [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Clarification my son does not have his phone at night. But screen time shows usage. The app time maxes don’t seem to be working either.
