How to authenticate genuine AirPods Max using serial number?

Looking to buy these, unsure if they are genuine the serial number checks out but i’m still wary?

You can check the serial number using the link below but it is no guarantee that the AirPods Max are authentic. Serial numbers can be spoofed.


Check Your Service and Support Coverage - Apple Support


Unfortunately, the only way to guarantee they are real is to buy them from the Apple Store or an Apple authorized retailer. Please keep in mind that those devices can only be paired to one Apple Account at a time. You would want to be sure that the original owner removed them from their Apple Account and FindMy.
