AirPlay code issue connecting iPad to HomePod mini and Bose soundbar

Hi, I own an iPad gen 9, and whenever I want to connect it to either my HomePod mini or my Bose soundbar, it will always ask for an airplay code, which I cannot give since both are speakers. Both are also added to the home app.
