Is my Apple Account compromised after receiving a suspicious text and calling an unknown number?

I received a text stating that my Apple ID was being used to make a purchase of $145.99 and asked if that was me. I called a number that I was told was Apple Support to deny the charge. Like an idiot i called but did not confirm any personal data. Is my account compromised and if so, what should i do now?

This is one of many phishing scams around.

If there is a suspected payment card fraud happening, the charge is blocked until and unless you authorize payment. There’s no countdown to irreversible payment, and various other falsehoods and errors with that phishing.

Assuming you did not provide any information, you’ll get more SMS spam and more phishing.

Otherwise, nothing to do, nothing happened.
