Apple Watch won't recognize swim strokes

The swim app does not recognize

strokes correctly. Does it need to be re-calibrated?

Did it count the strokes correctly in watchOS 10 and the issue started after the upgrade to watchOS 11?

Also check if the pool length is still set correctly before you start your workout, and you are not switching your stroke type before finishing the total length of the pool, pushing away hard with your legs from the wall, when you change the direction.

Other users did reset Calibration Data in the Watch App/Privacy/ -> Reset Fitness Calibration Data, followed by a Force restart.

I do a combination of freestyle, backstroke, breast stroke, and butterfly. It has been working great for as long as I've had the watch. It recognized each stroke, and the distance I swam each stroke. Now it seems to recognize other strokes as breast stroke, and does not measure distances accurately. I recently got a new phone and paired it to my watch, so maybe it needs to be reset again.
