Can't use the same Magic Mouse and Keyboard on two Macbooks

I have two MacBook Pros—one for personal use and the other for work. I also use a Magic Mouse 2 and a Magic Keyboard. But how can they be called magic when every time I switch from one MacBook to the other, I have to manually remove both devices from Bluetooth (forget device), search for them, and pair them again?

Why can't it be as seamless as it is on Windows?
