Why does my iPhone 16 Pro's camera live feed freeze and stop recording?

A bit of background: I record train rides on the different trains in my country, usually my daily commutes.

So as the title suggests, for some unknown reasons my iPhone 16 Pro’s camera app live feed would freeze randomly for about 5 to 6 seconds, and then stop recording on its own. I first experienced this about a month and a half back, and had it happen again multiple times. This freezing would occur randomly, either just ten seconds or minutes into recording, and can occur within a minute between one another.

In terms of the settings I was using when the camera freezes, I was recording in 4K 60fps, and the freeze would always happen when I use the 0.5x camera. I’m not sure if low power mode was enabled when these freezes happen and whether it contributes to this issue.

The analytics also doesn’t really show anything, neither was my phone overheating nor was low on storage (currently on 555gb out of 1.02tb) or battery, so what exactly is the cause of this?
