Missing 6 months worth of photos in icloud

Hoping for some insight. I had to recently reset my phone. Before I did I did an icloud backup but ive just noticed Im missing 6 months of photos from December 2023 to June 2024. I have before and after but nothing from this time. Please help and advice. They are not hidden or deleted.

If you sync using iCloud, anything in iCloud is also on your device.

if you do not sync, your photos are part of your device backup and are restored when setting up your device using the backup after resetting.


perhaps the photos never synced or were deleted by the user.
