Is it safe to use the same Apple ID on different Macs?

I am traveling for work and have my MacBook with me. my I Mac is at home and my wife is using this and having problems with web pages. could the fact that my laptop is connected to the internet in Brazil be affecting my desktop in the UK as they are both on the same apple ID?
