Why does FaceTime show different contact information for me and my friend?

I'd have to be able to see your friend's phone in order to even begin to figure that out. Sorry.

Technically, what you're now allowed to select is different apps as default for specific functions. You can chose Skype as your default app for phone calls if you want. But you can't make FaceTime calls with Skype. You can only make Skype calls with Skype.

Settings>Apps>Default Apps>Calling.
