Hi there- I’m new here, and I hope someone can help me here. My phone just updated messenger and some other apps automatically, even though all automatic background-updates are turned off!! The background-update button in the app is light green and I cannot switch it off 😳 It’s like my phone has gotten its own will.. Anyone got an idea how to stop/reverse this?

Go to Settings/apps/app store and turn off App Updates and In-App content under AUTOMATIC DOWNLOADS.
If you can’t turn off the switch and your phone is under Parental Controls or has a business or school email account that feature can be blocked.
