iPad HomeKit hub not seeing AppleTV HomeKit hub

I have two homekit hubs, original setup on my wife's ipad that has all switches and most of our smart accessories, video doorbell, etc. and an AppleTV homekit hub setup later that has homepod mini's for the TV setup. We would like to be able to have the video doorbell chime on the homepod minis, but I don't see them on my wife's ipad homekit setup as an option for the doorbell chime.


My wife's iPad is setup under her appleID and the appleTV likely under my id. We have family sharing setup for purchases etc. But guessing this may be the problem. However the AppleTV does see my wife's homekit hub on the iPad.


any ideas?

Under recent versions of Homekit iPads can no longer be used as a Home Hub (the title to your post is a little confusing). You may be referring to the Home app on the iPad, which should show you all accessories. Some users have had difficulty accessing a Home system using multiple Apple IDs. You could try disabling then enabling Family Sharing.
