Migration Assistant transfers files a Mac can't use?

I have a new Mac that uses macOS 15, I also have an older Mac that uses macOS 11. I've reset my old Mac and have a fresh install of macOS 11.

If I use Migration Assistant to transfer all my new Mac's settings and preferences into my old one, will it transfer all the files that can't be used on the older operating system?

Mac mini, macOS 15.3

The general usage for Migration Assistant is moving data from an older Mac to a newer operating system on a new Mac. If you have a Time Machine backup from Big Sur and it has not been overwritten by the new Mac, then I would recommend performing Migration Assistant on the Big Sur Mac with that specific Time Machine backup mounted there — not a migration from Sequoia (v15.*) back to the Big Sur Mac.
