Can I use my Apple Watch Series 3 backup on Apple Watch SE?

Replacing Series 3 Apple watch with a new Apple Watch SE (2gen) 2024. Will I be able to use the backup from the series 3 on the new SE 2gen watch for settings and preferences or will I need to setup a new watch and then manually setup all the watch apps
