How do I resolve an iCloud+ subscription payment issue when the card is already set as the payment method?

I received a notice that there was a problem with my iCloud+subscription payment. I logged into my account and went to payment info and it showed the card I use and when I tried to update it said that card is already my payment method, however I am still getting the alert to update my payment method. How do I fix the problem?

Thank you

Hello~ Any help clicking on below?

If a message says 'billing problem with previous purchase' or 'verification required' - Apple Support

Note you can contact Apple Support from inside the link above.

Also this could be a scam…where are you seeing this alert and what does it say (no personal information please)

On the Home Screen it showed there was a message on Settings. When I clicked on settings there was a 1 by Update Payment Details. When I clicked on that it said there was a problem with your iCloud+subscription payment. Update your payment details to keep your iCloud storage plan. When I click Update Payment it tells me that card is already used for my plan however I should have been charged for it today and I wasn't. It only charged for my Apple Care protection and not iCloud.
