Snapchat screen share stopping when I stop using my phone

So I’ll be screen sharing, and if I leave my phone still powered on, on a app or Home Screen ect, and not active on it between 20-30 seconds the screen sharing will stop. Just wondering if this is a glitch or a setting I can change because I physically can’t even put my phone down without screen share stopping and its really annoying now.
