Why is my FaceTime pause screen turning white?

for a while now after getting and using the ios 18 beta, whenever i’m on facetime and the other person goes on pause the pause screen is just white and really bright instead of what the camera last seen before they went on pause. i’m not sure if this was part of the update but it seems to be just me that has this issue
