How do I recover missing iMovie project from 'CurrentVersion.imovieevent' file on macOS Ventura?

macbookk pro, OS - ventrua 13.6.9, imovie 10.3

In Imovie i have one project out of 5 that is missing. in projects the missing project "stat cam" icon appears but there is no data, media or timeline. When i get to imovie library and click "show contents", i see a file labeled "stat cam" and inside there is an imovie titled "CurrentVersion.imovieevent". if i click on it i get a message "the document"CurrentVersion.imovieevent" could not be opened. imovie cannot open files in the "imovie event" format. I also find a file marked " Backup.imovieevent" that reacts the same way. In reading previous posts regarding recovering lost projects i find i do not have a file marked "containers". i get to these files by getting to imovie library and selecting show contents.

Are these the files for my project? if so how do i get them to load into imovie?

Hi,

The file "CurrentVersion.imovieevent" probably just contains codes or markers and would not be independently readable.

The Containers folder is located in the Home/Library folder that you access from the Finder Go menu item. Are you saying it isn't in there, or is it that you don't see a Home/Library folder?

i click "go / home / library" then i see no containers folder. I cannot find a containers folder using find either. Another note is that my other 3 projects are still there. just this one is missing, or at least the data for it.
