Add calendar event without pop up “send invitation to all attendees” ios 18.3.1

I just upgraded my ipad to 18.3.1, and now when I try to add a calendar event, a pop up message asks to “send invitation to all attendees”. There’s no way to add the event without clicking send on this. How do I get rid of this? I’m mostly inputting personal appts and I don’t need or want to send invitations to other people.
