Pointer pausing issue with Sequoia

I am having an issue with my Intel Mac Pro mouse pointer pausing since I upgraded to Sequoia. It appears to be an operating system issue. If you increase the size of the pointer, the issue goes away, but when the pointer changes to a bar over text, the issue happens while it is a bar. It also happens while changing from the pointer to a bar.

My M2 Mac Pro does not exhibit any of these issues and I am using the exact same Logitech track ball on that unit, and it is at the same operating system level.

Mac Pro, macOS 15.2

Reboot as normal and test. Caches get rebuilt automatically.

Since this is not something that other users are experiencing, and you also have another mac that does not exhibit the problem, this suggests a possible software conflict. Please run Etrecheck and post its full report here. Use the "additional text" button and paste the report into the text box.

Hello and thank you for the responses.

I found it. I am using Dante audio on both Macs. One Dante module is USB. The other one is the same brand, but is USBC. If I have the USBC Dante module plugged into any TB3 port on the Intel Mac Pro, the mouse problem occurs. If I plug the USBA Dante module into the Intel Mac Pro, the mouse problem goes away.

For some reason, the M2 Mac Pro does not exhibit this issue. I can plug the USBC Dante module into any TB3 port and it has no effect on the mouse.

Thanks for your help. I will use the USBA Dante module with the Intel Mac Pro.
