calendar problem: weekly recurring event shows up every day AFTER UPDATE

Calendar event being set to repeat once a month starting Feb 28th 2025 to end date Jan 28th 2026 is showing as a daily event.

When I go into custom setting, it is set to daily.

I change that setting to monthly and it shows as hidden on the calendar. I'm only able to find it through search with keywords.
