How to disable Movie Preview in Photos on iPhone

Photos rotating on the screen

Since last OS upgrade the changes to Photos mean that I can't seem to view photos in a folder, without a moving changing display. I can't bear the continuous movement, it upsets my brain. How do I keep everything still?

You're not alone, and you have some options. In albums and some collections you can turn off the preview movie by going to the sort menu at the bottom, and choosing View Options

and then unchecking "Movie Preview."

You can also stop it all by going to Settings>Apps>Photos and turning off "Show Featured Content" an/or "Auto-Play Motion."

Also, in Settings>Accessibility>Vision>Motion, you can reduce some animations and other useless flashy stuff.

Let us know what works for you…

I’ve been having the same issue and already did everything you suggested and it’s still happening. In fact the background of every photo is some HTML coding and when I try and access my carrier online the entire screen fires haywire and just flashes and wiggles and I can’t do a bathing about it. I’ve dealt with my carrier and Apple and no one ever has an answer other than upload your data to the cloud, wipe your phone and then download your data. All that happened is that your corrupted data and files are put right back on. Someone is also using my number without digits and it accessing my root files on a brand new iPhone 16 max +. No company takes responsibility and always tries to pass the buckle I’ll paste some screenshots to prove what’s happening but it never makes a difference. Please advuse

I think that this post is about a very different thing.

As for me, I've not seen this behavior, and it hasn't been discussed, here. Probably you won't get much help from folks here-- you may need to take the phone to someone who can handle it.

I know that I can't offer help in this thread. You are welcome to try to post a new thread to get appropriate responses.
