Any cellular services, data services, etc will have to be purchased from a cellular service provider.

That depends on whether you purchased an unlocked phone or one with a data plan through a carrier. If it was an unlocked phone, you will need to sign up with a carrier for cellular service.

If you purchased an unlocked phone, you will need to contact a carrier such as AT&T, Verizon, Sprint etc. and sign up for their service.

I'm not aware of any carriers that sell data-only plans for cell phones.

You will probably have to sign up for a plan that includes cellular voice, text message, and data service.
