Bought the iPhone 16 Pro Max and I have a question

I just purchased the iPhone 16 Pro Max through finance on Apple’s website and I was wondering if it comes with data or do I need to buy it separately?

iPhone 15 Pro Max, iOS 18

Apple is not a cellular service provider.

They do not operate a cellphone network.

Apple doesn’t provide cellular or wireless services.

Any cellular service, data services are separate from the phone.

Any cellular services, data services, etc will have to be purchased from a cellular service provider.

Thanks for the response.
I haven’t bought a product in this way before I’ve always bought it through other companies. Could you explain how to sign up with a different carrier specifically just for data?

I'm not aware of any carriers that sell data-only plans for cell phones.

You will probably have to sign up for a plan that includes cellular voice, text message, and data service.
