Excel doc will not open in Sharepoint

I tried doing another test doc--would't open. Tried using download. Wouldn't download. Tried sending both the link and the permission to edit to my email. Wouldn't open. Exel docs open fine in Google Drive. All other docs on Sharetpoint open fine.

MacBook Air: Excel and Word documents won't open I have a Macbook Air 2017 running Monterey 12.7.6 When I try to open an Excel workbook (version 16.89), or Word document it can take several double clicks before it opens - if it opens at all. The icon does a little explosion but the file name stays grey. If I leave it for a minute or two it might open eventually. The file sizes are tiny (0.6kb up to 20kb) How can this be resolved?

All downloaded docs automatically openedin/saved as Pages docs I use Google Drive to create docs. I select 'download as word.' This file shows that it is a docx on my desktop, but it opens in pages. Even if I select 'convert to Word' in pages by 'right clicking' on the file, it still opens in Pages. This is a new thing. In the past when I have selected 'open as word' in opens as a docx. I don't know how to change this. I have tried 'open with' but the only option it gives me is pages. Everything else is faded out and I am unable to select other options.

Excel opens in Word I recently purchased MS Office Home and when I click to open Excel, it opens in Word. If I do not right-click on the icon and tell it to open in Excel it will open in Word by default. If I get an Excel file email attachment it will open in Word when I click. I have tried to correct this on my own and have had no success at all. I am reaching out to this Apple Community for help. Could there be an Apple related solution? Thanks. David D
