Can Mac mini M4 receive power from Studio Display via Thunderbolt USB-C cable?
Hi everyone,
sorry if I mess up the terms. I'm not so familiar with the terms.
I have a Studio Display which can deliver power supply to connected devices such as Macbook or iPad. I have used it before with the Macbook M1 Pro 14" and it worked just fine. I don't need the power supply for the Macbook, it could just get it from the Studio Display. I used the USB-C cable which is included in the box of the Studio Display.
I bought a Mac mini M4 and try to connect the Studio Display with it via the same cable, the same port with the lightning symbol on both devices, the monitor and the computer. But I cannot power on the Mac mini with that set up. I need to connect the power supply cable from the Mac mini in order to turn it on.
Am I missing something here?
Thank you for your time!
