How do I unlock the full brightness range on my iPhone?

How to get the brightness bar in control center to be able to control the total brightness range of the device. I don’t want max to be 10% brightness by turning reduce white point on, I want to just be able to adjust the brightness between the total range it can do. It’s asinine that I have to flip a switch to unlock the brighter screen for daytime

Hi, Apple does not permit a single slider to enable 2000 nit brightness. I suspect because of the very high battery drain and high heat it produces.

Auto Brightness is capable of increasing brightness to 2000 nits outdoors. I live in Florida and frequently visit the beach and do boating around the numerous waterways and the Gulf. I just turn on Auto Brightness when in those extremely bright conditions.

Auto Brightness can regulate the brightness so it reduces the brightness and hence internal temperatures to prevent the iPhone from shutting down. My wife like to manually set the brightness very high and when we’re out on hot days, her iPhone overheats and suffers from severe battery drain. Just our experiences.

Hi Jeff, I apologize as I wasn’t clear.

The iPhone’s minimum brightness (the equivalent to Reduce White Point set to on) should be the bottom of my brightness bar, and the max brightness of my iPhone should be at the top of the bar.

That is not presently the case, as an accessibility setting must be toggled to allow me to brighten my phone enough to be seen in daylight.

What setting allows me to make the brightness bar the total range of the iPhone’s brightness?

Hi Jeff, I apologize that I wasn’t clear.

I want to slide the brightness slider to max and that be the brightness of sliding it to max without Reduce White Point on. I want to slide the brightness to the min and it be the brightness of the min with Reduce White Point turned on.

Why do I have to activate an accessibility setting to make the brightness accessible for an indoor level? Why do I have to change that setting off to make it viewable outdoors? Why can’t I just slide between low enough and the max of the brightness bar?
