How do I get a sound when someone texts me on iPhone 15 Pro?

OK. When you open Settings > Notifications > Messages, is Allow Notifications turned on? And does it show the tone you selected in Sounds? Is the volume on your phone turned up? Or possibly your phone is muted?
Finally, do you by chance wear Apple Watch?
You are not going to get a notification on your iPhone if the screen is locked when you are wearing Apple Watch. If your screen is unlocked, you will get a notification on your phone. This is by design and how Apple designed notifications to work when you wear Apple Watch. You can get a notification on one device or the other device, but not on both.

I did it all and now have to wait for someone to text me to see if it works. I do wear an Apple watch.
