How do I enable clamshell mode with an external monitor on macOS Sequoia?

I went to System Settings>Displays> Advanced, but the options are allowing to link make or ipad, and pushing through edges for the mouse. I am using macOS Sequoia.

Clamshell works the way it always has. You obviously need an external display, and an external keyboard and pointing device.

If it is not working for you, then tell us: what exactly happens when you try?

FWIW, I never really understood the point of using a Mac in clamshell mode, and not use its gorgeous screen and great keyboard and trackpad; but if you want to, just go ahead. Nothing has changed, as far as I can tell.
