How do I delete a specific clip in Final Cut Pro without affecting others?

This is interesting… I'm pretty sure in the past...I would hold down the Tilda key and delete a clip, but in this case, both of the clips are deleted… What am I doing wrong? I only want to delete the bottom clip and leave the logo at the top…
