When pressing lower left button to start a workout, outdoor walk starts automatically.
I have to stop it and reselect alternate workout.
this did not occur before recent update

I had the same issue. I don’t know how it got enabled, but you can fix it by going to the Watch app → Action Button → First Press → Open Workout.
For me, “Start a Workout” was selected and switching it to Open Workout resolved the issue.
