It is not a refurbished device, I am sure of that. After researching, I found out that it is a device displayed in the store for visitors to inspect (demo)
Nope. Demo phones are not to be sold. And the fact your model number begins with a 5 means it is Refurbished. Whoever you got your information from either lied or doesn't know what they are speaking about. And Chris is absolutely correct in his post above. Demo phones won't work outside a store. They are NEVER sold to people.
Buying a refurbished phone isn't necessary bad. But since it was refurbished not by Apple, but by an Apple approved refurbisher, means it won't come with any warranty from Apple. Whether it has any warranty with whoever you purchased it from, you'd need to ask them. You didn't buy it from Apple and Apple has no responsibility to you in this.

That would indicate you purchased an iPhone which was refurbished, not by Apple, but by an Apple Authorized Refurbisher. As such it no longer has any warranty. The date you see is an arbitrary date, but still the phone is no longer covered by any warranty from Apple.
If you are sure it is not refurbished, are you also aware that iPhones designated for display and not to be sold? They have demonstration software and do not run regular software.

What is the difference between the software in your opinion (the demo and the regular one)?
It's not an opinion. It's a fact. Demo phones won't connect to Apple Servers to be used by an individual in the real world as an iPhone. Apple DOESN'T sell demo phones. They are blocked from operating outside a store. I'm not sure why you are having an issue accepting the fact that you purchased a refurbished phone but the fact is you did. On a final note, iPhone's when purchased brand new come with a one year warranty. iPhone 14 Pro Max was discontinued by Apple in September 2023. The phone you bought wasn't new, couldn't be new and has no warranty from Apple.
