Why do I keep receiving scam calls claiming Apple Pay charges?

WHY DO I SEE 4 YEAR OLD POSTS ABOUT SAME ISSUE?

TEXT= 888 *** **54 SAYS I PAID 183.95 WITH APPLE PAY

I DONT HAVE APPLE PAY

I MADE NO PURCHASE

THEY ARE SCAMMERS

Everyone gets them. They can be reported here, but honestly there is little that can be done that will stop them completely:

Recognize and avoid social engineering schemes including phishing messages, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support


They can't be tracked down and can be sent from anywhere in the word. The sending address is just spoofed and the number is mostly likely an anonymous VOIP number. Anyone that knows your phone number can send you that message.
