Constantly getting Apple Account Verification pop ups

WTH Apple, my PC suddenly has Apple Account Verification Code pop-up and I can't get my work done!! I do the two-step verification on my iPhone and enter the code - buffers - the pops back up again - What caused this to begin with, and what's the fix!!!???
