When I look at the Apple Store app, it only shows very recent history. How can I access older purchases?
Steps I followed
1) Open Apple Store app
2) Click on the name/picture icon in the top right
3) Click on orders
It shows past orders going back a little over a year but nothing earlier.

On an iPhone you can set the filter to show older purchases, by tapping on Purchase History, and then on the Filter at the top:
Then on Date Range, and finally on Custom to choose a year from the list:

Apple AI (I presume) changed the heading from “Apple Store app” to “App Store app”. Your advice is correct for the App Store, but unfortunately not relevant for the “Apple Store” app.
I ended up contacting Apple support to get the information I needed.

Ahh, sorry. Did not realize it was in reference to the Apple Store app.
Not your fault. I put a long title and Apple AI apparently condensed it but altered the intent.
