Converting scanned document/PDF in Notes to photo
I've seen questions about how to convert a scanned "document" (could be anything, even a photo) in Notes into a JPEG that can be saved to Photos. Some apps I use to share documents won't let me share PDFs so this is helpful in those cases. It requires several steps, but here's what I've figured out and it works.
- Scan your document in Notes
- Click the arrow "share" icon
- Send it to yourself as an attachment in Mail
- Open the message in Mail, then open the attachment in Preview
- From Preview, go to File -> Export
- When the popup box shows, up, change the "Format" from PDF to JPEG
- Save your file to a destination (I chose my desktop)
- Open the JPEG file and go to File -> Share
- Choose Photos as your destination, and it will export your JPEG to your Photos app
It's crazy how many steps it takes, but it does work!
