How do I transfer data from old iPhone to new iPhone before selling?

Is it possible to save iphone data off iphone that will be sold before acquiring a new iphone then imputting data on to new iphone

Yes. If you won't still have the phone before you get your new phone, you backup your current iPhone either to iCloud or your computer, then set up the new phone from backup.

Bought a iphone 14 off ebay Seller had 2 for sale and sent me wrong one .I transferred all my data onto this iphone before I realised this was not iphone I ordered. Seller will not send correct iphone until I return wrong one. how do I save data to use when correct iphone arrives
