How do I fix a frozen Apple iPad Pro 12.9?

If your iPad is unresponsive, connect your iPad to its Power Adapter and allow the iPad to charge undisturbed for at least an hour. Then, while still connected to external power, try a forced-restart:

Force restart iPad (models with Face ID or with Touch ID in the top button)

If your iPad doesn’t have the Home button, do the following:

1. Press and quickly release the volume button nearest to the top button.
2. Press and quickly release the volume button farthest from the top button.
3. Press and hold the top button.
4. When the Apple logo appears, release the top button.

Force restart iPad (models with the Home button)

Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.

To release your frozen screen. Hold down these two buttons at the same time until you see your screen return. Button 1 one the top of your pad. Second button is the top button on the right side of your pad. Remember to hold both buttons down at the same time. Usually will take approximately 3 seconds. Can take a few seconds more. After your screen returns, let loose of the two buttons.
