Should I replace my Mac's keyboard and trackpad after spilling coffee?

So, I had a little accident with my Mac—spilled coffee on it. 😩 I rushed it to a repair shop to get it cleaned ASAP. They told me the trackpad and keyboard were damaged.

But… after two days, everything magically started working fine again. Now, it's been about two weeks, and it's still running without issues.

Should I take it to an authorized Apple repair center to replace the keyboard and trackpad just in case? Or should I just let it be? 🤔 Any advice?

Let it be.

If you purchased an AppleCare+ plan (that would be Apple Care Plus) then accidents like that would be covered under its terms, subject to a substantial deductible. If you did not purchase that plan then let it be, because the repair cost is significant, and waiting is not likely to change that fact.
