Lost AirPods - Can't remove from Find My

"Lost AirPods - Can't remove from Find My: We went on a holiday recently and my AirPods were confiscated by the customs as I had accidentally left them in checked in luggage. There is no way for me to recover the AirPods but is there a way to remove them from Find My? I have tried to remove from Find My (iOS) many times but it will not go away."

Reset your iPhone Anew:

AirPods are seen in the location on the device these are paired with, was itself connected to the internet. This is because AirPods are not assigned their own IP Address. So, if you cannot rid of these, try the following...

1. Back Up your iPhone to a Computer:

2. Reset your iPhone to Factory Settings:

then...

3. Restore from the Backup you Created in Step 1:
