Deleting a window that came up to my surprise

Hello Apple Community,

I have a lot of learning to do on my iMac with Ventura 13.7

Without realizing what I did to make this window come up, it popped up.

I'm trying to make it go away, but nothing I do seems to work. The window is a wide vertical rectangle shape (nothing new). It has a small window inside it that says, "Unable to verify account name or password". It also has an OK, got it" The first time it popped up, I clicked on "OK, got it" in the lower section. That made it go away. Then whatever I did trying to get to my account, it came up again only real faded looking. I've clicked on that and the entire box faded but didn't go away. Can anyone let me know what to do (or try) to delete it or get it to disappear?? Thanks...
