Reminders Working Incorrectly in my Calendar

I've been having this problem since they introduced Reminders inside the Calendar app. My reminders wouldn't sync properly, there were multiple reminders of the same task with no way to delete them even after removing them from the Reminders app. I could only switch the reminders off completely. Unfortunately I haven't found a working solution on this site or anywhere on the internet. But here's what finally worked for me and I'd like to share it, hope it helps other unfurtunate people like myself.

What helped me was disconnecting reminders from my iPhone and then reconnecting them back. On my iPhone I went to Settings > iCloud > Saved to iCloud > Reminders and switched the syncing off. It removed all iCloud reminders from my phone and they were gone from the Calendar app. Then I switched this toggle back on – and those pesky incorrect reminders were still gone! Now everything seems to work correctly. I can add a reminder on my Mac and it synks with my phone just fine. When I add a reminder inside the Reminders app, it works correctly now too. Yay!
